MEMOIR Chandelier, designed by GamFratesi

In September 2023, LYFA launched the MEMOIR collection, a family of products designed by the Danish-Italian design studio GamFratesi. The design is based on a modern interpretation of the classic chandelier. At the heart of the design is the softly contoured opal glass shade, which evokes a historical typology and a romantic spirit. The linear metal structures form a graphic outline that allows it to be linked in numerous compositions. The simplicity of the MEMOIR lighting system creates a bridge between the decorative details of the past and a sculptural silhouette for modern spaces.

GamFratesi is known for their creative drive, their experimental approach to techniques and their ability to tell unique stories through their designs. GamFratesi's work is characterised by their dual background, reflected in elegant contrasts, harmonies, colours and materials. Using these elements, GamFratesi creates designs that respectfully reflect the proud traditions of Scandinavian functionalism and craftsmanship with an Italian intellectual approach.

LYFA - a visionary home of iconic classics

LYFA was founded in 1903 and was initially named Kjøbenhavns Lampe- og Lysekronefabrik (Copenhagen Lamp and Chandelier Factory). At the beginning of the 1930s, the name was changed to LYFA. Since 1903, one of the founding principles of LYFA has been to create lighting designs for all occasions and to be the light in the daily life. The entire LYFA collection is founded on pure aesthetics and a purposeful design philosophy shaped by decades of dedicated craftsmanship and captivating lighting designs.
