Design: Pierre Paulin, 1975
Concept: The legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the Pacha armchair in 1975. He designed the chair in harmony with the changing style of the time and replaced the ancestry of the post-war era with a new energetic approach. Paulin managed to give a real elegance to the rounded shapes of the armchair, by finding the perfect proportions and raising it slightly from the floor. In this way, he created a modern way of living and sitting on the floor, by avoiding chair legs. With comfort as the constant starting point in his designs, the curvy, whimsical and incredibly organic shapes of the Pacha armchair are designed to provide enormous comfort and spread cosiness in the home. This thought about comfort and well-being has GUBI fully managed to maintain in their updated version of this famous classic. The Pacha armchair is an honest and functional piece of aesthetic pleasure that brings life and character to any decor.
