The original 'La Pedrera' was designed by Antoni Gaudi. He is generally thought of as the Great Master of Spanish modernism and his unique work cannot be defined or classified by any other style. In 1955 Barba Corsini tailored 'La Pedrera'. Corsini, who was a leading functional architect, admired the simplicity of Finnish architecture. Vigorous simplicity is a good description of Corsini's personal style which is mirrored in the Pedrera series.
