Layout is a series of dining chairs from HAY designed with a focus on comfort function and aesthetic balance. The chair is characterized by its soft organic shapes and the open backrest that both provides good support and a light visual appearance. The shape is simple and inviting and makes the chair suitable for many types of rooms and interiors. The seat is made of molded veneer that adds a natural warmth and tactility while the rounded wooden legs give a stable expression with a timeless mark. The choice of materials reflects a conscious approach to durability where the shell consists of a minimum of 96 percent recycled plastic and all components are designed for easy disassembly, which makes it possible to repair, update and extend the life of the chair. The chair is available in a wide range of colors and surfaces and both the seat and legs can be chosen in the same wood type and finish for a uniform expression or mixed across to create contrast and personality. The Layout series combines functionality with a clear aesthetic and fits equally well in the home dining room as in restaurants, offices or public environments where flexibility and quality are paramount.
