Panton had close relations with both Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Henningsen, whose expression and design language, as is well known, are known and loved by people all over the world. Despite Verner Panton being part of the important mid-century Danish furniture design, his expression and design philosophy were far from the simple one practiced by his Danish and Scandinavian colleagues.
