The special edition of the Vipp Swivel Chair, created for the Vipp Townhouse in the medieval town of Lagrasse in southern France, combines historical elegance with modern functionality. The chair is upholstered in an eye-catching, two-tone patterned textile inspired by the aesthetics of a medieval coat of arms. The characterful motif was originally created by the traditional French textile house Maison Le Manach and has since been carefully reinterpreted by the renowned workshops of Pierre Frey in northern France.
The upholstered seat rests on a solid four-legged base in polished aluminum with a 360° swivel function, making the chair both flexible and functional in use. Every detail has been carefully considered – from the choice of fabric to the processing of the metal – and draws on Vipp’s design heritage, which dates back to 1939, when the foundation stone was laid with the first molded metal product.
